Traffic Infractions

It is a very time consuming process to go to traffic court to resolve a traffic ticket. There is generally no incentive to plead guilty to a traffic violation at the first court appearance (arraignment). The fine amounts and traffic school eligibility remain the same if you set your case for trial. If the officer appears for the trial you have the option to plead guilty before the trial. The fine will be the same amount as if you had pled guilty at the arraignment. However, if the officer does not appear for trial, the case is dismissed and you do not have to pay any fine (you may still be required to pay the collections fee if you failed to appear for a court date).

Many people give up their right to go to trial because they do not have the time to go to court. Please call me before you make the decision to give up your right to trial and thereby lose the opportunity to have your case dismissed, keep the points off of your DMV record, and avoid an increase in your car insurance premiums. My fees are very reasonable.
